I Choose Laziness on My Days Off!

Hello again World! You know why I enjoy this blogging thing so far, I feel like I'm writing a letter to all the traveling people out there who I enjoy and envy. Or, at least there are 3 people that I know of who are even 'in the know' that I have a blog. A pathetic but excitingly naive new blog must start with one or two followers, win them over and then proceed to take over the world. mwuahaha. sorry. Ok, so it is my first day off in a minute which feels good. I haven't left bed yet and it's... well, it's late here in Santa Cruz, CA. It is a beautiful day out there that I will go see in a few, ummm, blogs.

See, this is a recent photo I took of a lake just north of Santa Cruz called Loch Lomand where they stock it full with trout and you can go fishing all day. You can't swim in this lake, which is a bummer, but they rent little paddle boats that you can take out on the lake to go fishing or just lounge in. Plus there is a trail that goes around the lake so you can find all kinds of fun little nooks with nobody else and you've got your own little bend.

Moses loves Loch Lomand. He's my buddy.
I'm thinking of taking him for a long walk today. Hopefully he isn't pooped already from his morning walk to get coffee. Probably not. So wish me good morrow and endless amounts of beers for my two days off. I shall endure all the luxuries a broke college graduate and post-travel 25 year old can today. Did that make any sense. Oh well. I'm off to see the wizard.

I must learn about blogging. It's cool!

This blog is really only expiramental, since my awesome friend's Lindsey and Cameron are blogging from Japan for all of us to see, I thought to myself, I gotta see how this thing works. So to get started, I want to introduce the man of the hour, Moses the dog. He's my cute lil man, property of my cute big man, Michael. He was sick this week with an ear infection but it seems that after some new doggy food and duck snacks, someone is feeling better? like they can jump on people and not sleep?! Enough about Mose...

Linz and Cameron! You guys are the shit and I love your lives. Thank you for getting out into the world and checking this place out. How's Japan you guys? I can tell you are loving it and getting the very most out of every moment there. How awesome and what a feeling hu? To feel as though the world is your oyster (do they have oysters in Japan?) and that every day will offer something new and exciting, even maybe life changing! I'm so happy for you two, congratulations on 3 years. Man, that flew by. At least I can say I was in your lives for the first year... right? I can't wait to hear about your time in Bali. Sounds like most people are very generous and accomodating to you, which I remember as well when I was traveling. I felt that people were always that way and it made me think that people in the States are a little selfish and individualistic when it comes to taking care of others and being courteous... what do you think? Well it's the morning time here in Santa Cruz and I have to get going but I will be thinking of you guys... maybe you will never see my blog... hmm. But that OK cuz I think I may get into this now. Love you Linz!!!! Mucho mucho mucho.

TTYS, Linz Mac
